Frequently Asked Questions

Accessibility

Is the farm wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we'll provide you with preferred parking and there's also an accessible port-a-john available. Some of our paths are narrow, but there's plenty of accessibility in other locations to experience the tulips. It can be uneven and muddy if wet so please plan your visit accordingly.

Are strollers allowed?

Yes, strollers are allowed, however, navigating between the rows may be quite cumbersome. We recommend a carrier/backpack if you have one.

Tulips

Can we pull up the bulb along with the flower?

No, when a bulb is dug up early in the season, the root system of the flower gets damaged causing it, as well as all the tulips around it, to die. When the flower is picked, the bulb won't get the nutrients it needs to grow. When picking, just reach down towards the bottom of the stem and gently twist to break it off from the bulb below.

What if there aren't enough tulips because they are all picked already?

We planted 2 million tulips so there will be plenty for everyone at any time. Our varieties will continue to bloom throughout the season.

Food & Drink

Is there food available for purchase?

Yes, we'll have food trucks available with different food options including vegan and vegetarian. We'll also have snacks, bottled water and refreshments available to purchase.

Is there a place to rest or a place to eat?

Yes, we have a eating area with 50 picnic tables and umbrellas as well as chairs and benches to rest in the tulip picking areas.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you can bring your own food and drink. We also have food trucks and snacks available each day. Please note alcohol is not permitted.

Is alcohol permitted?

Unfortunately, we don't sell or permit alcohol on our farm.

General Info

What is the Tulip Pick Farm address?

We're at a new, larger location this year! Our address is 433 Sixteen Road, Ridgeville ON L0S 1M0 (Niagara Region). It's only a few miles north of our old address.

What do you recommend to wear?

The beautiful tulips are planted on a farm, so it can get muddy, hot, cold, windy, etc. Please plan accordingly. We suggest leaving your high heels at home - but of course, it's up to you!

How long should we expect to visit?

Most visitors stroll and visit for about 1-2 hours. There's lots to see and many acres to roam. Please allow more time if you plan to picnic or take lots of photos. You're welcome to stay as long as you'd like until closing time.

When is the best time to visit?

Our tulips bloom in early, mid and late spring, so there'll always be plenty of colour no matter when you choose to visit. Early in the morning and weekdays tend to be quieter. If you want a long-lasting tulip bouquet, we recommend visiting our farm earlier in the season when the tulips have not fully opened. If you're looking for primarily photography content, we recommend mid-to-late season as the fields burst with colour.

When does the season start and end?

All tulips are weather dependent. Our anticipated opening date is April 27th at 1pm and we HOPE to remain open until May 19th. Please check our social media @TASCGrowTogether for field updates.

Are you hiring? Do you need volunteers?
